Dr. Glen Johnson,      neurologist and Clinical Director of the Neuro Recovery Head Injury Program in Traverse City, Michigan has answered the FAQ’s of most survivors and caregivers in this practical book that may be downloaded. Although there is no charge, Dr. Johnson asks for a small donation to cover his costs. The information is free of medical jargon, easy to understand, and helpful.

Acquired Brain Injury and Substance Abuse

Ohio Valley Center for Brain Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation discusses ABI in terms of alcohol and drug abuse. The site also offers TBI screening information that helps determine if brain injury has occurred. www:ohiovalley.org/abuse

Legal Resources and Attorney Sites

Not surprisingly, sites maintained by lawyers often have good brain injury information especially in  judging the merits of a legal case, brain injury screening, and ways to identify and evaluate an attorney. Be sure to visit the third site.

www.autoaccidentsurvivorsguide.com  This website has arguably the most comprehensive list of MTBI / PCD symptoms available anywhere: the "Anderson-Franklin Brain Injury Symptoms List" that was developed by  a Canadian psychiatrist and Jill Franklin who is the author of Auto Accident Survivor's Guide for British Columbia : Navigating the medical-legal- insurance system. Although Canadian in its focus, .the TBI information in the book and on the site is relevant everywhere and most of the legal information is pertinent everywhere.
